Not doing this alone

Relationships.

How many friends do you have who are genuinely interested in your development and growth? How many friends do you have that are genuinely interested in your happiness? Sure, you may have over 100 profiles linked to your social networking account, but do you really know any of those people? Do they have enough character to be concerned with your well-being and the well-being of others? How about you? How supportive are you of your friends? What kind of character do you possess?

Today, take a few minutes to consider who you can call on for help in a tight spot.

It is good to know that you can handle yourself pretty well, but it is good to know that you do not have to do it alone.

Question: What are some good ways to keep in touch with friends who are busy? How do you deal with that awkward phase between college and marriage? You, know the phase where you are so focused on yourself that you forget about everyone else.

What motivated today’s blog?

“Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation.” – George Washington (1732-1799)
